Under The RadarThe Under The Radar conference has a current call for companies to enter. I spent some time speaking with the conference organizers last week and was impressed by the amount of effort they put into helping the selected companies get ready to present their pitch. Below are the details if you are interested in submitting your company. If you need assistance with the submission, send me a note.

They specifically asked me to stress that this is not a bay-area event - companies from anywhere in the world are encouraged to apply. The category for this conference is social media and entertainment and they are looking for companies in the following categories:

  • Advertising
  • Casual Gaming
  • Commerce
  • Measurement Tools
  • Messaging
  • Mobile Applications and Tools
  • Publishing
  • Search
  • Rich Internet Apps
  • Social Media/Networking
  • Virtual worlds
  • Video
  • Web Design Tools
  • Widgets and Desktop Enhancements

Criteria for Company Selection:

  • Unique value proposition
  • Ability to monetize product/business
  • Large market opportunity
  • Must still be considered "under the radar" - launched within the year
  • Company must be an actual startup - not a new product from a large company
  • Beta and beyond - must have a customer/beta testers/or using the product in the market

Apply here - applications due by March 28, 2008
