The Rubicon Project has launched a new program named "certified ad space". Launched with 725 Web sites, the company notes that the program was created to satisfy ad network and advertiser needs for broader exposure and access to safe, high-quality website inventory, while ensuring that campaigns reach the intended audience and content.
Just like when you get an oil change for your automobile, the certified ad space program features a 21-point certification checklist. The certified ad space program also includes human screening of all participating Web sites or blogs.
The program has three main functions:
- Certified content and audience: assures brand safety
- Certified placement and targeting: delivers certainty that ads reach their intended audience
- Certified tracking and reporting: promises ad networks and their advertisers get what they pay for
The net of this program is that Rubicon is going to screen your Web site and then can create applications to a variety of networks and assure the networks that Rubicon has already screened the site. Check out one Rubicon member who claims the income increases are only a fairy tale.

Coming off being awarded the Illinois I.T. Assocation CityLIGHTS Award last week, the first TECH cocktail conference will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois. After hosting TECH cocktail mixer events for nearly two years, a full day conference seemed like the next step for the TECH cocktail community building startup created by Frank Gruber and Eric Olson.
Check out the speaker list for the event. For the event we look to facilitate a place for people to learn all the various aspects of starting and running a Web business. The usual "no nonsense" approach will be alive at the conference along with our signature relaxed atmosphere so attendees will learn a lot while having fun.
The conference will entail a full day of TECH events and TECH talks and will run from 9 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. at Loyola University’s Kasbeer Hall (Water Tower Place campus). After the conference the customary and popular TECH cocktail mixer will take place from 6:30 p.m. till 9:00 p.m. at John Barleycorn-Wrigleyville.
If you are interested in attending the conference please register now. CenterNetworks readers can save $25 by using the: centernetworks discount code. Space is very limited so sign up today.
