kickappsUserplane has been on a roll with their distribution deals recently. Userplane has created widgets for a variety of content management systems and most recently partnered with ConVerdge on chat and IM integration.

Today NY-based KickApps and AOL-subsidiary Userplane are announcing a partnership which will bring live chat, IM and presence functionality into the KickApps social networking platform. Both the Userplane Webchat and Userplane Webmessenger tools will carry advertising and publishers can also use a buyout option to remove or control the ads within the widgets.

Check out our exclusive interviews with Userplane CEO Michael Jones and KickApps CEO Alex Blum.

On a side note, KickApps is now referring to their service as the, "World’s First Social Graph Engine". I wonder if they paid a marketing firm to come up with that tagline!

ZohoOffice suite provider Zoho has signed a 6-month trial partnership with Swiss telco provider Swisscom. The partnership will bring Zoho products Writer, Sheet, Show, Notebook and Meeting to a custom version of the Zoho Business suite. The tools will be available within the Swisscom Teamnet portal. Swisscom currently has over 300,000 business customers.

Zoho reports that their userbase is 50% US, 25% European and 25% in the rest of the world. This past April, Zoho partnered with Badhui in China. Back in March, the Telegraph newspaper out of the U.K. voted Zoho as one of the 101 websites they couldn’t live without.

PheedoPheedo provides advertising for RSS feeds and today is announcing the launch of the FeedPowered Analytics Dashboard. The dashboard will provide advertisers on the Pheedo ad network the ability to track details on where their ads were served and to whom. The concept is to help advertisers increase the ROI on their feed ad campaigns.

The FeedPowered Analytics Dashboard includes data and trends on active user analysis, content engagement, advertising stats, social media distribution and RSS subscription page information. There’s also an API so companies can integrate the dashboard into their own analytics packages and also allow developers to leverage on top of.

My only question at this point is how the system handles defaults. Defaults are where some blogs and content sources automatically are provided to subscribers of a service. Are those differentiated in the dashboard?

RSS feed services leader FeedBurner (now part of Google) offers a variety of analytics services as part of their feeds and advertising offerings. FeedBurner announced last month that they will soon offer Google AdSense in feeds powered by FeedBurner. This will open up the analytics offering by FeedBurner because advertisers will be able to track campaigns in AdWords. Pheedo is smart to get their analytics product out now and they will need to keep innovating and adding functionality to attempt to stay ahead of FeedBurner and Google.
