How to Preview New Google Chrome FeaturesSeptember 16th, 2008 at 1:42 pmSource:Mashable! Google has launched “Chrome Dev Channel” – a site where you can download the latest updates to the search giant’s new Web browser. By downloading the “Google Chrome Channel Chooser,” you can select whether you’d like either the “Dev” or “Beta” version of Chrome, the latter of which is more stable, while the former includes all of the latest new features that the Chrome team is testing and may crash more frequently. Google indicates that updates to the Dev channel will be pushed out “every 1-2 weeks,” the first of which went out early this morning (release notes available here). CNET notes that fixes include, “bugs with areas including Microsoft’s Silverlight software, tab behavior, video playback with YouTube and other Flash players, and scalable vector graphics, and it suppresses full-text indexing of sites accessed with encrypted Web connections.” Meanwhile, Google has also setup a page for reporting bugs and a blog for keeping up with updates and learning more about the inner-workings of the browser. —Related Articles at Mashable | All That’s New on the Web:Chrome is Getting More Attractive All the TimeGoogle Chrome: The “GBrowser” Comes to LifeGoogle Chrome a Killer Browser Already (screencast)Buy a Limited Edition Google Comic, Proceeds Go to CharityGoogle Apps Updates for Businesses, Schools and OrgsGerman Security Office Smells Stink on Google Chrome7 Really Awesome Things About Google Chrome
